Csaba Pinter

CTO

Dr. Csaba Pinter received his M.Sc. degree in Computer Science in 2006 at the University of Szeged, Hungary, and the Ph.D. degree also in Computer Science in 2019 at Queen’s University, Canada.

He spent six years in the industry, working in various areas of medical image computing before relocating to Canada, where he was a senior research software engineer at Queen’s University for nine years. He is a co-founder of Ebatinca, where he works as CTO since its foundation.

He has been a core developer of the 3D Slicer open-source medical visualization and analysis platform, one of the creators of the PLUS ultrasound research toolkit, the owner of the SlicerRT toolkit for radiation therapy, and one of the main contributors of the SlicerVR virtual reality toolkit.

His main interest is the design of innovative medical applications in the fields of image-guided interventions, radiation therapy, and virtual reality.


Idafen Santana Pérez

Director of Information Systems and Technology Consulting

Formerly Project Manager at ULPGC. Developer, professor, and researcher. Academic experience in lecturing and research, including ULPGC, UPM, Instituto de Empresa, and ESCP. Author of conference and journal articles on Data Science, NLP, Semantic Web, Cloud Computing, and Open Science. Ph.D. Artificial Intelligence, UPM (2016).


Juan Ruiz Alzola

Founding member

Telecommunications Engineer by the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) – PhD in Telecommunications Engineering by the UPM – Graduate in Law by the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC). Area of knowledge, Signal Theory and Communications.


Asmaa Skareb

Founding member

Degree in Auditing and Management Control from the National School of Commerce and Management of the Ibn Zohr University of Agadir (Morocco) – MBA in Business Management from the University of Nebrija – PhD in Organizational Management from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Doctorate in Organizational Management from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.


Lydia Perez

Administración

Lydia Pérez Ramírez obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Business Studies with Statistics en Middlesex University (United Kingdom). She has worked as a project manager and managing teams in private and public entities.


Nayra Pumar

Technologist

Nayra Pumar is currently pursuing doctoral studies in Enterprise, Internet and Communications Technologies (EmITIC) at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
She graduated in Technical Engineering in Surveying in 2004, graduated in Geomatics in 2010 and Master in Intelligent Systems and Numerical Applications in Engineering in 2019.
She has worked as a developer of Geographic Information Systems and senior technician in Occupational Risk Prevention and Quality Management. Her work career also includes dedication to training adults in technology.
Her main interests are 3D modeling and printing, augmented reality and training.


Borja Fernández Ruiz

Technologist

Graduated (B.S) in Physical Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) in 2020. In 2023, he obtained a Master (M.Sc) in Visual Analytics and Big Data from the International University of La Rioja (UNIR).

He has worked as a data analyst within research projects at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) in the field of light pollution.

His main interests include data analysis, visualization, and the use of artificial intelligence.
